YES Shop Coordinator

Are you ready to be part of an innovative and exciting community organisation! If so Impact Communities needs you. Impact Communities is the community arm of Workskills Inc., and delivers a range of youth, family and community programs and initiatives across Tasmania and beyond.

Impact Communities has successfully tendered for the Empowering YOUth Initiative. YES shop is a social enterprise for young people (YP) to create and sell their own products and services on-line and through pop-up stores/markets using uniquely-designed retail modules. YES Shop harnesses the YP’s interests and skills. They will decide on the products and services they produce (e.g. creative arts, gifts, woodwork, photography, web design).

YES Shop has a ‘whole of community’ focus where local businesses and community members partner to achieve the outcomes; giving YP real life exposure to employers, their local communities and beyond.

This role will require the successful applicant to assist in the management of the YES Shop ensuring accurate reporting and compliance protocols. There will be responsibility for the day to day leadership, mentoring and support of a team of volunteers. The role will include Involvement with industry bodies and stakeholder engagement. The incumbent will come from a background, experience and understanding of projects and programs aimed at Young People. In addition, the role will require the oversight of a youth advisory steering committee and the facilitation of risk mitigation for participants in an on call roster.

Our mission is to increase opportunities for people and communities by delivering effective and innovative programs and services that address unmet needs.

The position includes a fully maintained company vehicle, salary packaging, five weeks annual leave and twelve days flex leave.
